Go Your Own Way
Photographer Jessie Casson defines her style with bold colours, vintage items, and family hand-me-downs. She always wears trainers. The UK-born 44-year-old lives in Auckland with her husband, Matt, and kids Dylan, 14, Otis, 9, and Iris, 7. The family recently spent four months travelling around Latin America, tracking down people Casson photographed almost two decades ago, to learn about their lives now and show them the photographs she took of their younger selves. A film of the journey, What Becomes of Me, is in post-production. By Britt Mann.
In Search of Teen Dreams
Film maker Jessie Casson’s intrepid journey through South America an adventure of a lifetime.
Portrait of an Artist
In 2004, photographer Jessie Casson was travelling the world and taking portrait shots of teenagers she randomly met. New Zealand was supposed to be a stopover – but she stayed. Almost 15 years (and three kids) later, she’s still here, the teenagers she shot are adults and she's made a documentary about them. Emma Page reports.
